About Us

The Heritage Coast Building Company is a family run business employing a team of skilled craftsman offering you high quality construction and finishes for large and medium size projects in Devon, Dorset and Somerset. The majority of our work is with period, listed and ancient properties, but we also undertake eco-builds and timber frame constructions.

Our employees and sub-contractors are known for their high level of skill, attention to detail, quality finishes and their excellent customer relations. The company has an outstanding reputation, earned over 20+ years of trading.

Employing the skill set to undertake projects from start to finish, we often work on architect led projects, but also design and undertake other building works as required. The company has a well-known reputation for working with new and traditional sustainable building materials. Over the years we have built up, through every day working experience, a detailed knowledge of alternative insulation products such as geocell, wood fibre, hemp and sheep’s wool. We offer a wide range of services, undertaking a wide range of lime plastering projects ranging from the traditional lathe & plaster to modern lime-based plasters, such as cork, hemp plaster and thin coat hydraulic systems laid onto wood fibre board or Savolit (woodwool) board. Moreover, we hold significant experience in traditional and alternative structural building materials such as cob, timber frames, stone and brick, hemp and straw.
